Current situation in Brussels - Lufthansa Group offers rebooking possibilities

Due to the current situation in Brussels, Lufthansa Group offers a free rebooking for flights to and from Brussels.

The following goodwill rule applies with immediate effect:
Any passenger with a booked Lufthansa/SWISS/Austrian Airlines/Brussels Airlines oder Germanwings flight on a LH/LX/OS/SN/4U document up to and including 29 November 2015 to/from Brussels whose flight is not cancelled and whose ticket was issued up to and including 24 November 2015, may rebook once free of charge.

The following rules apply to these rebookings:

  • Rebooking on an alternative Lufthansa Group flight/connection (flight number and operated by: LH, LX, OS, SN, EW, 4U) – in the original booking class or alternatively within the same class of carriage
  • New travel date no later than 29 February 2016
  • The departure and destination points for the journey must remain unchanged
  • In the case of reissues the endorsement entry should read: 1615

For refunds of tickets that are not affected by flight cancellations, the fare conditions apply.

For rebookings/reissues in line with the goodwill rule stated above, an approval/waiver by Lufthansa Group will be absolutely essential.

Current travel information for flights to France, Belgium and Luxembourg

The responsible ministries of the interior have announced that passengers must take valid identity documents (passport or identity card) with them for entry into France, Belgium and Luxembourg. Spot checks will also take place for flights arriving from Schengen countries. Non-compliance can lead to a fine and an entry ban for these countries. This regulation will be valid initially until mid-December 2015.
