Current information on Lufthansa Group's flight offer to and from the Middle East

Riyadh (RUH) and Amman (AMM)

The Lufthansa Group plans to gradually resume flights to Riyadh and Amman starting in September. 

• Lufthansa will resume its service to Riyadh starting 10 September, operating three flights per week from Frankfurt.

• Starting 2 October, Austrian Airlines will resume its service from Vienna to Amman three times a week.

The Lufthansa Group is continuously monitoring and assessing the situation in the Middle East and is in close contact with the authorities. Changes are possible due to the dynamic situation and will be communicated accordingly.

Tel Aviv (TLV)

The Lufthansa Group had already resumed flights to Tel Aviv-Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) in June 2026.

The flight schedule now once again includes 54 weekly flights:

• Lufthansa offers two daily flights between Frankfurt and Tel Aviv, and between Munich and Tel Aviv

• Austrian Airlines currently operates 14 flights per week between Vienna and Tel Aviv.

• Eurowings currently offers four weekly flights from Hamburg (1) and Düsseldorf (3) to Tel Aviv.

• SWISS offers one daily flight with an Airbus A330.

• Brussels Airlines operates the route once a week, every Wednesday.

Starting in September 2026, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines will increase the frequency of some their connections. SWISS plans to resume its second daily flight (overnight flight) to Tel Aviv starting 1 September. For operational reasons, Lufthansa will not yet launch its planned third daily flight in September. Starting next month, the Lufthansa Group will thus offer 67 flights per week. 

Dubai (DXB)

In addition, the Lufthansa, Eurowings and SWISS will continue to suspend flights to and from Dubai through 24 October for operational reasons.

Eurowings is planning to already start flights to Dubai as of 1 November.

Further destinations in the Middle East

Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, and Edelweiss have already suspended all flights to and from the following destinations for operational reasons:

• Abu Dhabi through 24 October

• Amman through 24 October (Austrian Airlines through 1 October)

• Beirut through 24 October

• Dammam through 24 October

• Riyadh through 24 October (Lufthansa through 10 September)

• Erbil through 31 October

• Muscat through 24 October

• Tehran through 31 October

Eurowings:

• Flights to and from Beirut resumed on 1 July 2026.

• Flights to and from Erbil resumed on 1 July 2026, are currently suspended again, and are scheduled to resume on 10 September 2026.

• Flights to and from Amman are scheduled to resume on 7 November 2026.

• Flights to and from Jeddah are scheduled to resume on 12 November 2026.

• Flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until and including 24 October 2026 (no specific date has yet been set for the resumption of services)

Changes may occur for individual airlines due to the dynamic situation and will be communicated accordingly.
