Flights from Munich: Disruptions expected on 10 March 2023 due to a strike by security personnel
Due to a strike by security personnel at Munich (MUC) Airport planned for Friday, 10 March 2023 from 5:00 a.m. to 10 a.m., there will be considerable restrictions in ground handling and at the security checks at the airport.
Important information for passengers departing from Munich on 10 March 2023 (passengers originating in Munich):
According to the airport operator, the security checkpoints outside the transit area will remain closed throughout the day. Thus, originating passengers departing from Munich will not be able to pass through the legally required security checks and get to their flights. Passengers originating in Munich and with a scheduled departure in the morning of 10 March 2023 will be rebooked on a later flight. The rebookings will be done today. Passengers affected will be informed immediately (provided the contact details are stored in the booking).
Important important for passengers transiting through Munich on 10 March 2023 (transit passengers):
It is expected that transfer processes for connecting passengers in the transit area will still be possible. Transit passengers must not leave the transit area in Munich under any circumstances. It will then no longer be possible to return to this area and to the departure gate.
