Lufthansa discontinues flights to Bahrain and Kuwait
The Lufthansa Group is evaluating and optimizing its route network, particularly with regard to seasonality, profitability and capacity shortages due to aircraft manufacturers' delivery problems.
Consequently, Lufthansa will discontinue flights between Frankfurt and Bahrain (BAH) and Frankfurt and Kuwait (KWI) effective 16 September 2024. In addition, flights between Frankfurt and Dammam (DMM) will be canceled up to and including 15 September 2024. Starting 16 September 2024, Dammam will be served with a stopover in Riyadh (RUH). In addition, Lufthansa will no longer fly to Tehran (THR) until the end of the summer flight schedule (26 October 2024), regardless of the safety assessment.
The flight schedule adjustments have already been published in the systems.
You are welcome to make rebookings/reissues/refunds for cancelled flights on Austrian Airlines/Brussels Airlines/Lufthansa/SWISS tickets yourself in accordance with the Schedule Change/Irregularity Policy for Travel Agents (OS/SN/LH/LX).
