TWP 2014: Lufthansa Group airlines offer a goodwill policy for passengers booked on flights to China

Due to the changed entry regulations and the new rules for submitting Covid-19 tests, the Lufthansa Group airlines are offering travellers to China the opportunity to rebook once free of charge or have their ticket refunded.

The goodwill policy (TWP 2014) at-a-glance:

Passengers

  • with a booked flight between 5 and 30 November 2020, and

  • with an OS/LH/LX/SN ticket (257/220/724/082) issued up to 3 November 2020, and

  • with a booked Austrian Airlines/Lufthansa/SWISS flight number (operated by OS/LH/LX) from Frankfurt (FRA) / Vienna (VIE) / Zurich (ZRH) to Nanjing (NKG) / Shanghai (PVG) / Shenyang (SHE)

may rebook once free of charge or have their ticket refunded.

If you are doing the refund yourself, please note:

  • For the refund of completely unused and partially used tickets (provided all prerequisites as described above are fulfilled), a waiver is required. OPC and DCC (YR) remain non-refundable.

  • Refunds of partially used tickets should be requested via refund application, e.g. via BSPlink

For rebookings the following rules apply:

  • New date of travel: until 31 December 2020

  • Rebooking on an alternative Lufthansa Group flight/connection (operated by: OS, LH, LX, SN, EW, 4U, WK, EN) – in the original ticketed booking class or, alternatively, in the originally ticketed compartment.

  • Change of origin or destination of the journey is not permitted

  • No repricing or additional collection required

  • In the case of reissues the endorsement entry should read: TWP2014

For the reissue, please contact your Lufthansa Group Agency Support and request a waiver. A waiver is also required for ticket refunds.
