Lufthansa Group airlines offer special conditions for WOW air customers

WOW air has discontinued flight operations on 28 March 2019.

Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS support affected WOW air passengers with special conditions so that they can commence and/or end their journey.

The Lufthansa Group offer is valid for travellers:

  • who had booked a WOW air flight for the period between 28 March and 31 May 2019

  • whose WOW air flight has been purchased prior to 28 March 2019

  • who book an alternative flight with Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS (oneway or return flight) on OS (257), LH (220) or LX (724) ticket stock (OS/LH/LX flight number and operated by OS/LH/LX/WK)

  • new commencement of travel no later than 30 April 2019, the journey must be completed on/before 31 May 2019

  • Travel compartment: Economy Class

  • Routing: the new routing must correspond to the original point of origin and destination respectively

Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS will reimburse customers for these flights with 25 % of the ticket price paid. This partial reimbursement will be made for all OS/LH/LX tickets submitted that meet the above-mentioned conditions, regardless of the booking channel via which they were purchased.

After their return flight but no later than 30 June 2019, customers must submit the following for reimbursement to the Lufthansa Group airlines (customercareservice-hotline@services.dlh.de) directly:

  • Original booking confirmation/ticket of the WOW air flight in the travel period from 28 March to 31 May 2019

  • The used Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS return flight ticket

Please note that you will not be able to make the reimbursement directly at your travel agency.
