Lufthansa Group cancels all flights to Israel due to new entry regulations

The extended refusal of entry of the Israeli authorities, which applies from 6 March 2020 among others also for travellers from Austria, Germany and Switzerland will lead to a considerable drop in demand for flights to Israel. As a result, Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS will cancel all flights to Tel Aviv (TLV) and Eilat (ETM) from Sunday, 8 March 2020 up to and including Saturday, 28 March 2020. The Lufthansa Group sees itself forced to make this cancellation for economic and operational reasons, as many passengers are no longer entitled to enter the country.

For operational reasons, some flights to Tel Aviv on 6 and 7 March 2020 have already been cancelled, as also flight crews are affected by these new restrictions.

Lufthansa Group rules for rebooking/reissue/refund for cancelled flights

Customers affected by a flight cancellation can rebook once free of charge or have their ticket refunded. You are welcome to make rebookings/reissues/refunds for cancelled flights on Austrian Airlines/Lufthansa/SWISS tickets yourself in accordance with the Flight irregularities policy for business partners (OS/LH/LX).

Brussels Airlines INVOL rules apply to Brussels Airlines tickets.

Please note: The Flight irregularities policy and the INVOL rules only apply to flights which have already been cancelled.
