Lufthansa Group extends flight suspensions to mainland China until 24 April 2020

Lufthansa Group will continue to cancel flights to mainland China until 24 April 2020. This affects flights to Beijing (PEK/PKX), Shanghai (PVG), Nanjing (NKG), Shenyang (SHE) and Qingdao (TAO).

Flights to Hong Kong (HKG) will be reduced in March and April 2020.

As a result of the current situation caused by the accelerated spread of the Coronavirus also in Europe, the number of short- and medium-haul flights can be reduced by up to 25% over the upcoming weeks. The Lufthansa Group airlines are therefore asking passengers to always check the status of their flight and the current travel and entry restrictions of their final or transit destination before the start of their journey. These might be subject to change on short notice. If your clients are affected by an entry restriction, please contact your Lufthansa Group Agency Support for rebooking or refund options.

Lufthansa Group rules for rebooking/reissue/refund of cancelled flights from/to Beijing (PEK/PKX), Shanghai (PVG), Nanjing (NKG), Qingdao (TAO) and Shenyang (SHE) up to and including 24 April 2020:

Customers affected by a flight cancellation can rebook free of charge or have their ticket refunded. You are welcome to make rebookings/reissues/refunds for cancelled flights on Austrian Airlines/Lufthansa/SWISS tickets yourself in accordance with the Flight irregularities policy for business partners (OS/LH/LX).

Brussels Airlines INVOL rules apply to Brussels Airlines tickets.

The Lufthansa Group airlines will continue to monitor the corona virus situation on an ongoing basis and are in contact with the responsible authorities.
