Lufthansa Group to gradually resume flights to/from Tel Aviv starting in June 2026 | Flight offer to/from the Middle East

The Lufthansa Group airlines will gradually resume flights to and from Tel Aviv (TLV) starting in June 2026. This decision follows a comprehensive safety and security assessment.

Initially, Austrian Airlines  will restart their operations to Tel Aviv starting 1 June 2026.

For operational reasons

  • Lufthansa and SWISS are currently planning to resume flights as early as 1 July 2026.

  • Eurowings is expected to return to Tel Aviv by mid-July 2026.

  • Brussels Airlines had already suspended operations to Tel Aviv through 24 October 2026

Furthermore, Lufthansa, and SWISS will continue to suspend flights to and from Dubai (DXB) for operational reasons through 13 September 2026.

Flight offer to and from the Middle East

For operational reasons, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS, and Edelweiss have already suspended all flights to and from the following destinations:

  • Abu Dhabi (AUH) through 24 October 2026

  • Amman (AMM) through 24 October 2026

  • Beirut (BEY) through 24 October 2026

  • Dammam (DMM) through 24 October 2026

  • Riyadh (RUH) through 24 October 2026

  • Erbil (EBL) through 24 October 2026

  • Muscat (MCT) through 24 October 2026

  • Tehran (THR) through 24 October 2026 

Eurowings has already suspended the following flights for operational reasons:

  • Beirut (BEY) through 19 June 2026

  • Erbil (EBL) through 22 June 2026

  • Tel Aviv (TLV) through 9 July 2026

  • Dubai (DXB/DWC), Abu Dhabi (AUH) und Amman (AMM) through 24 October 2026

Changes may occur for individual airlines due to the dynamic situation and will be communicated accordingly.

Guests who are affected by an irregularity will be informed accordingly (provided the contact details were stored in the booking).

Important note: In order to enable us to inform your customers in case of irregularities as early as possible by e-mail, please always enter the customer contact details using the “SSR CTC” format in the PNR.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our passengers. The Lufthansa Group is continuously monitoring and assessing the security situation in the Middle East and is in close contact with the authorities.

The safety of passengers and crews is always the top priority for the Lufthansa Group.

Important notes regarding short-term flight cancellations

In case of short-term flight cancellations within 48 hours (in select cases: up to 5 days) before departure, no (immediate) UN will be set in the PNR in all cases. In this case, you can do the rebooking/reissue without having to request a waiver.

Lufthansa Group rules for rebooking/reissue/refund for cancelled flights

Customers affected by a flight cancellation can rebook once free of charge or have their ticket refunded.

Please note: The Schedule Change/Irregularity Policy only applies to flights which have already been cancelled or which have been automatically rebooked by the airline.
