TWP 2403: Strike of the trade union ver.di at Lufthansa from 7 March (4 a.m. CET) through 9 March 2024 (7.10 a.m. CET)
The trade union ver.di has called on Lufthansa ground staff to go on a warning strike from Thursday, 7 March 2024 4 a.m. (CET) through Saturday, 9 March 2024 7.10 a.m. (CET). As a result, Lufthansa and Air Dolomiti are expecting extensive effects on the flight program.
All Discover Airlines (4Y) flights are expected to operate as scheduled. » Learn more
Eurowings (EW) will also not be affected by the strike. In many cases, Eurowings connections can be a good alternative to canceled Lufthansa flights.
Please note that the flight cancellations may also affect departures on Wednesday, 6 March 2024.
Important information on rebookings made by Lufthansa
Due to the longer lead time, most rebookings for this strike period will exceptionally not be made in the short-term process (OPR) but in the long-term process. In these cases, UN or UN/TK will be set in the PNR. If a revalidation is not possible, tickets will not be reissued automatically but must be reissued manually.
Guests who will be affected by an irregularity will receive information about cancellations and rebooking options by email or in the Lufthansa app (provided the contact details are stored in the booking).
We recommend that you wait until the flight cancellations have been carried out before making a refund in order to be able to make the refund on an involuntary basis.
