Travel to the USA: How to support your customers in their travel preparations

Finally, fully vaccinated people can fly to the USA again. Help your customers get to their business meeting or vacation conveniently and relaxed. Here are our tips for optimal travel preparation:

Step 1: Digital document check

Recommend to your customers to have their COVID-related travel documents required for entry into the USA (proof of vaccination, negative COVID-19 test result and “Combined Passenger Disclosure and Attestation” form), checked by our Health Entry Support Center before they fly. If the check is successful, they can have their digital boarding pass issued as usual when checking in.

Please note: Documents can be submitted no earlier than 72 hours and no later than 12 hours before departure.

Step 2: Online check-in

Travelers can check in online conveniently from home or on the move from 47 hours (Austrian Airlines), 24 hours (Brussels Airlines) or 23 hours (Lufthansa and SWISS) before departure via the websites or apps of Lufthansa Group airlines. This way, travelers not only avoid possible contact points at the airport, but can also select their desired seat early on.

Step 3: Bag drop-off at self-service bag drop kiosks

At many airports, passengers who already have a boarding pass can check in their baggage at the self-service bag drop kiosk – avoiding queues at the check-in counters.

More helpful advice for relaxed travel:
