ver.di union calls for strike at Düsseldorf Airport on 27 January 2023

ver.di union has called on the employees of the handling provider Aviapartner Düsseldorf GmbH & Co. KG to strike on Friday, 27 January 2023 from 3:30 a.m. to 0:30 a.m. on Saturday, 28 January 2023. Aviapartner Düsseldorf work on the apron in ground handling at Düsseldorf Airport. As a result of this strike, there may be significant disruptions to flight operations and delays in the handling of flights. This will affect all airlines taking off and landing at Düsseldorf Airport.

Train ticket for cancelled German domestic flights

If a German domestic Lufthansa flight is cancelled, passengers can exchange their ticket into a Deutsche Bahn ticket free of charge.

For domestic Eurowings flights that cannot be operated due to the strike, it is possible to convert the flight ticket into a Deutsche Bahn ticket. This is possible both in the Eurowings app or via the Eurowings Service Center. The documents issued are only valid on Deutsche Bahn trains.

Lufthansa Group rules for rebooking/reissue/refund for cancelled flights
